*500 Off Complete Drainage System

A proper interior water management system relieves water pressure from both under the floor of your basement and along the foundation walls.

Water can travel from far beyond your property line by traveling through underground veins, arteries, & capillaries located in the soil. As this water gathers around your home’s footing, it creates something called hydrostatic pressure. This pressure pushes water through even the tiniest cracks or openings in your foundation—and in some cases, even under the footings themselves.

Newer homes are built with exterior footing drains to redirect this water and relieve that pressure. But in many older homes, those drains either don’t exist or are clogged and inaccessible.

The result? When heavy rain hits, that pressure builds, and water slowly starts seeping into your basement. It often begins with subtle warning signs—but if left unchecked, it can lead to bigger problems.

“In April 2015 EcoDry installed French drains, a sump pump, new basement windows, a dry well and water-proofed our crawl spaces. They were extremely efficient and professional. In 2021, Hurricane Ida flooded our town and we thought for sure we would come home to a flooded basement, but it was completely dry. The investment we made on waterproofing 6 years ago was so worth it. We recommend EcoDry to everyone!”

8 Early Signs of Water Problems

These water problems may occur on & off for many years before obvious seepage or flooding occurs.

At Eco-Dry Waterproofing, we install one of the most effective interior drainage systems available for basements and crawlspaces.

Perimeter Drain Installation

We begin by removing a strip of the concrete slab around the interior perimeter of the basement or crawlspace. A perforated drain pipe is then installed alongside the footing—beneath the slab—so it can capture water at the lowest possible point, just like an exterior drainage system.

This drain pipe connects to a sump pump, which is covered with an airtight, childproof lid for safety and performance.

Wall Pressure Relief

For block walls, we drill weep holes into the hollow cores to relieve pressure and allow trapped water to flow freely into the drainage system.

Dimpled Drainage Barrier

A key part of our system is the installation of dimpled plastic sheeting at the base of the wall and under the slab edge. This sheeting acts like a small egg crate, creating a channel that allows water to drain down the wall and into the pipe without obstruction.

This system also allows us to close the floor back up to the wall with no gaps, helping to:

  • Support the foundation walls
  • Preserve usable floor space
  • Make finishing the basement easier and more efficient
  • Built for Long-Term Protection

There are many additional details we include to ensure long-term effectiveness and to protect your home throughout the process. It’s our attention to detail—at every step—that sets us apart from other systems and companies.

  • Rain Saturates the Ground

  • Pressure Fills the Foundation Wall

  • Water Seeps Through Walls and Floor

  • Interior Waterproofing Solves the Problem

Why Avoid Track Systems

The systems installed that sit on top of the footing are easier & cheaper to install, however these systems have many drawbacks.

First, the drains are much smaller than 4” piping and cannot handle as much volume.
Also those systems cannot be pitched toward the sump because the footing is level, therefore the water will not flow as fast.
Furthermore the floor is an integral part of the structure in keeping the lower part of the wall from being pushed in from soil pressure. Now instead of having the floor completely cemented back in place as our system does, they will only have a plastic track there with a skim coat of cement, which will offer no support.
